Dear God, Have Mercy
Dear God, have mercy!
The devastation that so many are dealing with today makes our hearts cry out to God for mercy and comfort for all those affected by storms, unexpected deaths, and devastation. There is nothing I can say that can take the pain away from the question ‘WHY?’ All I know is that God knows the why, and at some point, we embrace that.
There is a scripture I want to share with you today for this very moment in time.
II Corinthians 1: 3, 4
Blessed be God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
I can hear the cries of mothers and fathers today as searches are being done to find their children. I feel the pain of a precious friend, Rhonda, whose husband passed away unexpectedly today. Oh, life can be so hard. Even with God it can be so difficult. I don’t know how people handle these types of hurt without Jesus.
If you or someone you know is hurting today, please know that Jesus is touched by your pain. Remember that He is praying for you and loves you. You may not feel it, but cling to the thought of it. The Word says that “when we are weak, He is our strength.” When you don’t know how to pray or can’t find the words to say … say the name …Jesus.
We are praying for you and love you. If there is anything we can do to help you during your time of need, please don’t hesitate to contact us :
